At DV Housing Help, I understand that life circumstances can be unpredictable, especially when navigating housing challenges after domestic violence. This policy aims to balance respect for your situation with the need to sustainably provide services to all clients.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Standard Cancellation Terms

For One-on-One Sessions and Consultations:

  • 24+ Hours Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice, you can do so at no charge. Your payment will be fully applied to a rescheduled session.

  • Less than 24 Hours Notice: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, a 50% fee may apply. However, I understand that unexpected circumstances arise, and this fee may be waived at my discretion (see Hardship Exceptions below).

  • No-Shows: If you miss a scheduled appointment without notification, the full fee is typically charged. Again, exceptions may apply based on individual circumstances.

For Group Workshops or Multi-Session Packages:

72+ Hours Notice: Full credit toward future services

24-72 Hours Notice: 75% credit toward future services

Less than 24 Hours Notice: 50% credit toward future services

How to Cancel or Reschedule

You can request cancellation or rescheduling through:

Please include your name, the service date, and reason for cancellation if you feel comfortable sharing.

Hardship Exceptions

I recognize that domestic violence survivors face unique challenges. The following situations qualify for waived cancellation fees:

Safety concerns or emergencies

Unexpected housing opportunities requiring immediate attention

Health emergencies (yours or your children's)

Transportation failures

Childcare emergencies

Court dates or legal proceedings

Simply communicate your situation when cancelling, and I will work with you to reschedule without penalty.

Cancellations by DV Housing Help

If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, you will be:

Notified as soon as possible

Offered priority rescheduling

Provided a 10% discount on the rescheduled service

If no suitable rescheduling time is available, a full refund will be processed within 3 business days.

Service Credits & Refunds

Service credits for cancelled appointments remain valid for 6 months

If you're unable to use a credit within that period due to circumstances beyond your control, please contact me to discuss extensions

Full refunds (rather than credits) can be arranged in cases of significant hardship

Policy Changes

This policy may be updated periodically. Clients will be notified of any changes, and the current policy will always be available on the website.
